Blood Tests

What to Expect at Your Pet’s Appointment

When you arrive, our team will check you in, confirm the lab tests requested, and review the medical history you provided. A team member will then take your pet to a quiet room to collect the blood sample while you wait in our seating area. At this time, due to space and resource limitations, we are not able to allow owners in the sample collection room.

A small blood sample is collected upon arrival, and results will be emailed directly to you within 24–28 hours. Our staff use gentle handling and minimal restraint to ensure your pet’s comfort and to protect the sample quality. Samples are typically taken from your pet’s neck or leg.

If your pet is unable to cooperate for the blood draw, we will inform you right away. Alternative solutions may be discussed, and if necessary, your blood test fee will be refunded.

If your pet has previously been prescribed anti-anxiety or calming medication for veterinary visits, we encourage you to give this before your appointment. These medications are safe and will not interfere with diagnostic results.
